In the world of big business, letting other people know what the company offers in the way of services, and in the way of merchandise, is perhaps one of the most important things that the company can do. Brochures spell out and display the company merchandise is vitally important to get the client to put in an order. Even Presentation Folders have their part to play in advertising what the company is all about and these should be presented in an immaculate way.

Filling these customer packs with useless information is one way to lose a customer very easily. If they find lots of ‘filler’ junk mail inside, they are likely to ditch the whole thing which is a complete waste of time and money. Of course, this is rather a costly way to throw money around with no business to show for it. Rather, just showing the best attributes of the company on two or three articles of paperwork is better than filling it up with stuff that will just be considered to be spam mail.

On the other hand, enclosing full color documentation in a heavy and high gloss finish will not only get them to look at what is on offer, they will also know that the company is very serious about creating business.

Business cards are also another area where some companies fail to hit the mark. Getting cheap, one color cards can be detrimental to the way that the business is perceived. Although one color cards can look chic and elegant, it all depends on the style of the card and the quality and look of the finished article.

Many business cards these days will have a UV coating which not only makes any colors used appear brighter, they will also give the card a water proof and tear proof finish which looks and feels expensive. We have all seen those cards with scratch off number panels; these are great examples of the card with a UV coating.

For flyers which are handed out at sales drives or seminars, the weight and look of the paper not really what people look for. Everyone knows that these are literally throw-away pieces of paper so there is no need to go be so careful with the design and cost. They are normally printed on flimsy paper and usually do not have much design work to them. However, it is not good to make them look like low quality pieces otherwise it gives a bad impression.

The printing budget for a lot of companies is part and parcel of the strategy of the company but it can get out of hand. Careful placement of any advertising materials will ensure that the company gets as much exposure, and as much advertising, as possible.

Unless the product or service being advertised is common to everyone, then taking care to target the right companies or communities will lessen the costs of any advertising campaign and distribution costs. This is where clever marketing teams can ensure that the right companies are targeted to make their budgets work economically.
